About Us

We are a small private stud of about 35 acres towards the end of the Shotley Peninsula between the Orwell and Stour Estuaries. This stunningly beautiful area of high class mineral soils is no stranger to breeding quality horses from Champion Suffolk Punches to Early Mist (Vincent O'Brian's first Grand National winner, bred on an adjacent farm).

The Stud overlooks the Stour opposite Parkestone Quay. It was laid out in the early Two Thousands, on land together with buildings that was to be retained from the sale of a highly productive arable farm.

We own about four mares, and breed to race and sell. So our mating policy is to put the mares to the most suitable stallions, but also keeping an eye on the stallion's commerceability.

We tend to sell through Tattersalls, and use Genesis Green Stud as our consignors. Good looking early colts are often sent to the December Foal Sales, otherwise most will go to the October Yearling Sales.

We retain any nice Fillies that we like and they will go into training.
